Chuck Schroeder - Executive Wellness Coach

In nearly 3 decades of Fortune 300 corporate management and executive leadership roles, I was the poster child for the unhealthy executive lifestyle – high stress, average workweeks of 60+ hours on location, plus 2 hours daily commute and work at home, at least a pot of coffee (and a donut or two) a day, significantly overweight, high blood pressure, poor nutrition, and on and on.

Time after time, I was assigned to (or I volunteered for) the Corporation's highest priority "mission critical" efforts.  My work life was focused – no – immersed in a singular focus on the corporate well being, wielding every conceivable tool in my executive tool bag in that pursuit. SOUND FAMILIAR??

I have now “switched roles” – becoming an Executive Wellness Coach - focusing on the individual’s wellness – coaching executive clients in practicing healthier lifestyles.  I have lived the executive life and have personally encountered many of the obstacles and pitfalls which are lurking and awaiting your personal change process.

Using the coaching model, I developed My Personal Wellness Vision and Goals and implemented short term steps toward my vision and goals.  I have applied my executive skills to my wellness, I have reduced my weight by 60 pounds (lowest in over 30 years) and slashed my blood pressure meds, I exercise daily, and I feel GREAT. My personal practice of wellness is ongoing and I am thrilled that this process works!

Fortunately, executives (my clients) are intelligent, strongly driven, familiar with corporate change models, and have expertise in setting a vision and measurable goals.  What is often missing for our personal wellness is:
  • Understanding the physiology of stress, and then taking control of our stress management
  • Sense of priority and self-efficacy
  • Accountability

Although many may claim to be "executive coaches", few have actual experience in corporate executive roles -- with significant span of control or with financial responsibilities ranging to a Billion $ or greater. Similarly, although there are a growing number of  "wellness coaches" (some with training), many have never been challenged with real life wellness issues.

As your Executive Wellness Coach, having lived the executive life and faced wellness challenges, I am uniquely qualified to apply my experience, wellness coaching and executive coaching training, stress mangement training, and executive skills to:
