As your Executive Wellness Coach, I am happy to coordinate all scheduling, emails, etc. through your executive assistant, as appropriate.

Getting Started

The initial engagement for Executive Wellness Coaching is usually based on a six month commitment.  This is often sufficient time to learn the process, experience the initial results, overcome obstacles, and form several new wellness habits.

The Program

  • Free Telephone Consultation (20-30 minutes)
    • Executive Wellness Coaching Description
    • My credentials and background
    • Your interest in developing your practice of wellness
    • Behavior change process and your readiness to change
    • Next Steps
  • Assessments
    • In order to make the most efficient use of the client's time, a number of standardized assessments are completed in advance of the initial session. These include:
      • Health Assessment -- to provide an initial snapshot of wellness
      • Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) Step II -- to facilitate most effective approach to coaching based on personality type
      • Bar-On EQ-I® Emotional Quotient Inventory -- to identify strengths readily available to be utilized in in the behavior change process
    • Debriefs of these assessments will take place in the first few sessions with the client.  Using these assessments will assist the client and coach gaining a better understanding of: how the client "operates" in normal situations, with others, and with stress; in quickly defining and narrowing higher priority issues to be addressed; and in gaining a basic understanding how these areas may impact the client's performance.
  • On-going coaching program
    • The exact nature of the coaching program is personally designed with the client and/or sponsoring corporation.
    • Some common options include:
      • 2 day (4 hours/day) Quick-start get-away long weekend or longer in Estes Park, CO.
      • Quick start program at the client's office (or other location of the client's choice).
      • Including key stakeholders in interviews and assistance roles.  For example, a family member or executive assistant can often lend substantial support in meeting significant goals.
      • Utilizing EQ-360® to obtain additional input from direct reports, peers, and supervisors (as applicable).

    • Ongoing coaching sessions are generally performed by telephone, allowing maximum flexibility for the client to participate at scheduled times.
    • Weekend and some evening slots are available to also provide maximum flexibility.
    • The program includes all assessments and interpretations, books, reference materials, and several standard monitoring devices (such as pedometer, blood pressure, heart rate, and heart rate variance monitors, as appropriate).  This removes the need for the client to spend numerous hours researching what to buy and obtaining key components for their personal wellness program.
  • Fees
    • Fees, of course, are based on the value expected to be derived by the executive client or their firm.
    • Fees are set at the beginning of the engagement and are valid for one full year.
    • Expenses, such as travel and lodging for the coach, will be billed at cost.

Ongoing Support

  • Often a client will discover that support from their Executive Wellness Coach is desirable beyond the initial engagement, to address additional challenges, or to provide further resources or accountability.
  • Ongoing support is personally structured to meet the client's specific needs.
